Chairman & Managing Director

Mr. Suresh Gunawardena is the Chairman and Managing Director of Finto Enterprises (Pvt) Ltd, a company specializing in the manufacture and distribution of industrial gases, including Acetylene, Oxygen, Nitrogen, and Carbon Dioxide. The company also manufactures Medical Oxygen used for healthcare and hospital requirements.

With extensive experience in the industrial gas and energy related sectors, Mr. Gunawardena has played a key role in establishing Finto Enterprises as a reliable and safety driven organization. His strategic leadership has guided the company’s growth across multiple industries, serving the manufacturing, construction, welding, engineering, and healthcare sectors with consistent quality and strict regulatory compliance.

Under his direction, the company has strengthened its operational standards, invested in modern gas handling and storage solutions, and built long term partnerships with clients across Sri Lanka. He also oversees international business affairs, maintaining strong commercial relationships with partners in India, China, Thailand, the Maldives, and Japan.

Mrs. Sonali Shashiprabha Perera

Mrs. Sonali Shashiprabha Perera is a graduate of the University of Colombo with extensive experience in business leadership and management. Since 2008, she has been serving as a Director at Finto Enterprises (Pvt) Ltd, Wattala, where she has played a key role in driving the company’s growth, strategic direction, and operational excellence.

She has gained valuable experience working in both the government and private sectors, including professional experience in a private bank, which has further strengthened her financial and managerial expertise in supporting the company’s development.

With a strong academic foundation and over a decade of industry experience, she is committed to professionalism, innovation, and delivering value. Her focus lies in building sustainable business practices while maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Mr. Viru Gunawardena

Director

I’m Viru Gunawardena, Director of Finto Enterprises. Having graduated from Gateway College, I began my professional journey within the family business under the guidance of my father, who is the Chairman of the company. Over the past six months, I’ve immersed myself in various aspects of our operations, gaining firsthand experience in leadership, decision-making, and day-to-day management. I am also currently studying as an undergraduate, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Chemistry at the University of Colombo. This experience has not only deepened my appreciation for the values and vision that have built Finto Enterprises but has also motivated me to bring a fresh perspective as the next generation of leadership. My goal is to uphold our legacy while driving innovation and sustainable growth for the future.

Mr. Aboobucker

With over 35 years of extensive experience in the industrial gas industry and more than 15 years of hands-on expertise as a Ship Technician, Mr.Aboobucker brings a strong blend of technical knowledge and industry insight to Finto Enterprises (Pvt) Ltd.

Having built a career rooted in precision engineering, marine operations, and gas systems, he possesses deep expertise in handling industrial gas applications, safety standards, and operational efficiency. His maritime background has further strengthened his ability to manage complex technical environments, ensuring reliability, compliance, and high-performance outcomes.

At Finto Enterprises, he plays a key role in driving operational excellence, maintaining quality standards, and supporting the company’s continued growth in the industrial and medical gas sector. His practical experience, combined with strategic thinking, contributes significantly to delivering dependable solutions to both local and international clients.
